Why is slotted handrail better when it is made from non-circular tube?
Non-circular geometries such as flat-sided oval tube and D-shaped have a flattened side that accommodates architectural glazing, LED lighting and cabling more easily than round tube, benefitting both the installation and final design. It's proven to be more ergonomic to grip than round tube, and it has an aesthetic edge over standard off-the-shelf round slotted profiles.
