Adjustable tube expansion and reduction at Timeless Tube: a cost-effective, flexible service

We’re excited to announce that we have invested in new machinery that allows us to expand and reduce the ends of tube components. Using a suite of tools, this highly flexible tube manipulation machinery allows us to adjust round tube diameters by up to 20% of the original size, depending on the material's type and ductility. In most instances there is no need to make new tooling due to the flexibility of the machine. Key applications include exhausts and silencers for the automotive and marine industries.

Precision and versatility in diameter adjustment

Our engineers can now achieve continuous, infinitely adjustable expansions and reductions for round tube within the specified range of each tool. This means we can make precise alterations to the tube’s diameter and length within the specified range, offering exceptional control for even the most minor adjustments. There is no clamping required, keeping the tubes protected from damage during the production process.

This service is designed to accommodate both bespoke, one-off components and high-volume production jobs. If you're working on a custom project or prototype our engineers can adjust the tooling until an optimal fit is achieved. End-forming bent tubes

One standout feature of this service is that we can reduce or expand tube ends close to or directly on a bend — without the need for additional tooling. Converting our shaped tube profiles back to round tube

It may also be possible for us to convert our unique profiles, such as oval tube or radius square tube, back to round tube at the ends depending upon the shape and size of the profile. Our engineers will be happy to explore this as well as other bespoke requirements such as tapering.
