The iconic oval tube profile and casting system have been around for many years, having been founded by Timeless Tube in 1987. Specially designed for marine and architectural applications, the oval tube profile and its casting system have been carefully developed over the years.
Offering a more gentle aesthetic together with an ergonomic and tactile shape, the oval tube profile has a vast number of possible applications. The low maintenance design has proved to be particularly popular to use with architectural and marine purposes.
This oval tube profile and casting system enable fabricators to produce high quality handrails and balustrades in conjunction with structural glass and brickwork.
When utilised as a handrail, the oval tube profile can be joined by welding the castings into the tube without any visual defects to create an uncompromising, seamless form or simply dry joined.
This profile can be formed from any of the metals that we offer, but should you choose to use stainless steel 316L or stainless steel 304 then the oval tube is ideally suited to both internal and external applications.
Depending on your project requirements, you may decide that an alternative metal is preferable. We have developed techniques to form this oval tube in both aluminium 5083 and aluminium 6063 which provides the added benefit of reduced weight. Alternatively, why not choose copper, brass or bronze to create a more significant visual impact.
Timeless Tube now offers this profile in smaller sections of rolled or fixed radius bends. Please contact us for more details.
Typically supplied in a bright polish finish which can be easily polished further to achieve a mirror finish through sisal polishing. If you would like some more information on the various finishes available, please contact us to discuss
The manufacturing process reduces the length by 0.2 meters. This means that our stainless steel oval tube profiles and aluminium 5083 oval tube profiles are sold in lengths of 5.8 meters. Other metals are supplied in different tube sizes; the total is size reduced by 0.2 meters.
